Wiyaala has called herself a villager

Ghanaian Afro-pop singer and songwriter Wiyaala has called herself a villager. The afro-pop artist who sings in her native language Sissala and Waala dialects but normally combined with English has described herself as a villager in her recent post on Facebook.

We don’t know why she described herself as a villager because the gladsome picture that she captioned “Village life sweet”  does not even have a village setting which will go a long way to convince us that she has visited a village.

The meaning of her name Wiyaala means ‘the doer’ in the Sissala dialect and we all know how powerful she is when it comes to positivity and hard work. Her fans are very proud of her in all cases and that sounds to be a great motivation.

Till date, Wiyaala has been consistent with her COVID-19 campaign “Clean Community Campaign – Hygiene for COVID-19” since its emergence in Ghana.

Wiyaala is also associated with UNICEF Ghana and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection of Ghana in campaigns against child marriage, child poverty, health and sanitation. She headlined the 15th London African Music Festival in London.

She has attained both national and international recognition for her bold and powerful voice, distinguished timbre and androgynous image hence we all believe this village life tag is just a caption but not reality.
